Heard in the hallways

Sitting in my office drinking instant “mixed coffee” (a Korean favorite – coffee, cream, and sugar in powder form in one little tube – probably really bad for you) and prepping for my next lesson. The bell rings for the end of the period and there’s the usual thunder of feet and voices as the kids stampede out of the classrooms.

Suddenly I hear this just outside my office door:

Stream of Korean words… then in English, shouted at the top of his lungs: “ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?”

Oh man, these kids. They’re the best.
