Short and sweet:
Random middle school boy in hallway: “Hello Teacher! How are you? You are beaut-i-pul! Will you marry me?”
Well, that’s a few steps beyond asking for my number.
Also definitely caught this in another class: “샘, 사랑해 (saem, saranghae).” Saem is basically an abbreviation for seonsaengnim, or teacher. It’s like saying “Teach” as a nickname for “Teacher.” And saranghae is “I love you.” He thought he was being sneaky by speaking Korean, but I totally understood. These little rascals.
